I’ve only worn my FitBit for just one week, and I have already learned A LOT about myself. I learned that I am half vampire as I average only 3.5 hours per night, and somehow I still manage to walk 10,000 steps a day. My wrist vibrates as a reward for my good behavior, and if I am lucky enough…the buzz goes off before bedtime. And, when that buzz goes off- I feel pretty damn good.

The FitBit Flex is $99 and allows users to become aware of every move and shake they make, calories burned and tracks sleep quality. And, for all of you that constantly lose your phone charger (ahem, me!) an alarm can silently wake you each morning. Imagine… you won’t ever have to hear that terrible, terrible sound again without being late to work. The FitBit Flex hides perfectly in between my bangles, and when I only see three dots before dinner I know I need to ‘step it up,’ literally. I find the FitBit Flex to be the perfect reminder that I have enough hours in the day as yonce, and it’s a great way to track my fitness progress.

For all of you yogi’s and spinners out there, the FitBit Flex does not track movement that doesn’t involve constant action from your non-dominant hand. HOWEVER, since I do give my mat daily attention- I login to my FitBit dashboard (online or app available) and log yoga and spinning accordingly.

The FitBit makes a great gift for those adventure seekers, a sibs birthday or even your significant other. I love my FitBit (thank you!) and move with intention everyday.
